About Me

Hello, I'm Ethan. I'm a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, pursuing a career in power electronics research. I am proud to be involved in the WEMPEC Lab at UW-Madison, where I am working to develop a single stage AC-to-AC converter. Through my academic journey, I've built a strong foundation in electrical engineering and also gained professional experience in mechanical engineering, computer-aided design, and materials science.

Outside of work and school, I have a wide range of interests and fun ways to learn new things. Since I was little, I've been skiing with my family and enjoy spending time on the slopes, even in frigid temperatures. Throughout my youth, I was heavily involved in camping through scouting and family trips. More recently, I've challenged myself to take up hobbies that push me to learn new things. Some of these include amateur electronics, SDR NOAA/APT weather satellite imaging, and computer building. I also enjoy meterorology, genealogy, history, and art.

Otherwise, thank you for visiting my website and please contact me for any and all inquiries!
